Crook Golf Club approached us to help increase their online presence. They already had a website provided by an external golf agency that they found restrictive and ‘littered with adverts’. Crook Golf Club wanted a less cluttered site that was easy to navigate; they wanted more control over the website’s layout and content and they contacted Greyhound IT to see what we could do.
We wanted to make sure that Crook Golf Club had a website that met their needs so we worked with a club representative to help us get the right look and feel for the site. The representative expressed the importance of having the weather displayed on the front page and also asked for a way of displaying each weekend’s results. The club representative mentioned how useful it would be to have a series of tabs covering different categories relating to the club, so whatever the reason for visiting the website, from a membership enquiry to ordering a new set of clubs from the Pro Shop, people could easily find what they were looking for.
With the help of the club representative providing site content we were able to finish Crook Golf Club’s brand new website ahead of schedule so club members could see a sneak preview before the site went live. Members’ feedback was invaluable and helped us make some final tweaks before the launch date. When we went live, Crook Golf Club were so happy with their website that they asked us to take over the running of their social media pages to expose the club to a wider audience. We of course were happy to oblige. To see the website in its full glory please visit www.crookgolfclub.co.uk .
